Thanks for the info. It looks like a lightweight flywheel and underdrive pulley combination are risky. A possible solution might be to have the pulley, flywheel and crank balanced as a unit, but this would be costly and possibly not solve the problems inherent in harmonic vibrations. thanks for the help, I enjoyed the discussion.
