I cannot believe BMW turning their back on the one thing that differentiates the Z3 from the Miata, Boxster, SLK, TT and S2000 -- these owners cannot return to their vehicle's place of manufacture for an event like Homecoming, especially since the Z3 has ceased to be the darling of the road testers and journalists. BMW needs something to foster brand loyalty now that the Z3 isn't the only roadster in the parking lot.

As much as I like my Z3, I have to admit that it is the first BMW I have ever owned, and I'm not sure that I would necessarily buy a BMW sedan - a rear wheel drive sedan just doesn't make sense in the NE US - at the first Homecoming, I was waiting for the arrival of my new (BMW CCA members, cover your ears!) A4 quattro. This begs the question -- Who do we have more in common with -- BMW sedan owners or owners of other new sports cars? If BMW doesn't want us, maybe we should reformat the event to include other new sports cars like the Miata, Boxster, SLK, TT and S2000
