At the present I'm running a Euro EEC front plate and Euro bracket with my Texas number on it. I covered the blue EEC section with a Texas flag tne the letters TX under it(thanks Eileen). I am waiting to get pulled over to see if the fine gentelmen who enforce our local traffic laws think that this is a suitable replacement for the butt ugly regular plate. After all what is important, the number on the front plate, or the shape of the plate along with the number? I would gladly pay for a Euro style front plate?
: An idea recently came to as I was washing my new Z... I noticed that the license-plate area on the rear of the car could hold either the US-style or Euro-Style tags. This appears to be the case on my 525iT as well.
: So, I start thinking, "What if US states offered both styles? " The color patterns would match, and perhaps they could prefix the tag number with the state ID ... "CA 3ABC123" The Euro-style plates definently look better on front bumpers (no plates look better, but they're required in some areas).
: People already pay extra for vanity, or environmental plates... how much more would people pay for the Euro-style.
: Any thoughts? Anyone know who to talk to about this?
