This is my third over 2k mile road trip in my 96 1.9(two homecomings and this trip). Drove for up to 10 hours and was still able to walk. My Z got 30.9 mpg for the entire trip(1.9's rule on the mpg front), and averaged 66 mph. Those of you who know me know I stretch the bounds of Z3 occupancy. Which make the comfort of Z even more amazing. If you can't tell I love my Z.

Sounded awesome. In exactly 2 weeks from today, I'm starting my 7500 mile journey that will take me from Northern Wisconsin to Charlote NC, Savannah GA, Miami FL, New Orleans LA, Austin TX, Scottsdale AZ, Los Angeles CA, San Fran (via HIGHWAY 1 & 101), Seattle WA, Vancouver BC, and then back. Can't wait! You're right about long stretches in the Z, I wouldn't want to do it any other car!
