I was going to the track today for the last day of the PCA/BMW CCA Club Race (BTW- splitting the cars is fun!). I was coming to an intersection making a right hander that has a yield sign (FYI for Alan- East on 2818 to South on Texas). It is raining slightly. I notice a cop at the light headed in the direction I am going. Since I normally take this corner at 50 and the speed of the road I am coming off of is 45 and the road i am going to is 50 and the cop is there I figure I better slow down. Well I already turned in, so I lift. Lifting in a turn is not a good idea at the track, and lifting in a turn at teh track when the track is wet and there hasn't been much rain lately is a BAD idea. Big time trailing throttle oversteer (TTO) IS possible even in an 84 325e. So what do I do? Exactly what I learned at the track. Steer into the turn, pause, then recover. Worked like a charm and I don't know if the cop noticed. :-)
