I was just in Barnes&Noble and read thru an article in one of those British mags which reviewed aftermarket exhausts. It included Supersprint, Magna, Scorpion, AC Schnitzer and two others that I can't remember the names. They were all European. The review did NOT include Dinan, RD, B&B/Triflow which are favorites here in USA. In any case, the tests were run on a 325i, 170hp engine. I don't have all the details from memory but several points worth noting.
1) All of the 6 tested increased hp, +8 to +13 with varying loudness
2) AC Schnitzer was the best, fit/finish/hp/quietness, except cost.
3) Supersprint was 2nd to last, due to poor fit/finish/hp/loudness
This confirmed my suspicion on Supersprint. I had one on my 2.8 and never felt that I gained all that much other than loudness. I wish they had included Dinan, that may be my next choice.
