Thanks for the info regarding construction adhesives. I don't think that sealing the whole compartment to the sheet metal is an option for me for a couple reasons. First, on the passenger side there is an opening to get to the fuel pump, and if I ever needed work on it, it would get messy, 2nd I just don't like the idea of attaching the whole compartment to the sheet metal.

I did though, think that I would be able to attach a number of fastners on the sheet metal which would then give me an area to screw or attach the speaker cab to the fastner.

To attachese these fastners I'll look into the adhesives and see how strong they are. I have also looked into brazing rods but I don't know much about this.
