I decided it was time to rotate the tires today, the fronts are down to 8/32 and the rears 6/32. That means it's also a good time to check the tread carefully. Well dang if I don't find a screw stuck in the right front tire. I'd guess it was a #6, maybe a #8. It was all the way through, in the deepest part of the tread.

When I first got the Z3 almost 4 years ago I bought one of those "Dynaplug" tire pluggers, you may have seen them in Pep Boys etc. I decided to try it and it seems to work. The leak is stopped, judged by the "spitooie" leak test and a 30 min drive with no air loss.

My question is this: doesn anyone have any experience with these leak pluggers? Did they give decent results?

Here is a picture of the tire plugger and the plugged tire.
