Ah, the one case I'd heard of was a person ordering a Z3 with the M3 Estoril(?) Blue paint. $1500 is a lot of money, but it sounds about what I would expect.

: Wrong! I tried, and tried real hard,but it's not possible to get just any bmw color on your z3 or mz3.It is possible to special order your mz3 with any of the available z3 colors and vice-versa. Price about $1500. As for myself, I eventually chose cosmos/beige/beige and I'm quite pleased. P.S. It's also unfortunately not possible to order from the european "individual" palette either,rendering colors such as the sepia unavailable.
