: Used Mike's "fix". It worked. Filled tank and stopped when pump quit the first time. Guage worked for 2 miles, then blipped to empty/light, then blipped back to full. Indicates that gas in the fill tube creates this problem - BAD DESIGN!
: : Had just filled the gas tank on my M Roadster during a roadtrip, when suddenly the fuel gauge needle suddenly went to empty and the red light turned on. It stayed like this for about 10 seconds before the needle went back up to full. The engine was not affected by this at all and I didn't notice anything else bizarre. But it kept happening every two minutes or so. Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else? I can't imagine it being from bad gasoline. Maybe something wrong with the sensor in the fuel tank?
