Grand Canyone of PA Cruise Notification (archive)

I am writing to all my database,to the NElistbot, and to the message board to remind you all of the Cruise Lesley and I are putting on in late June. This is to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania near Wellsboro, PA and is scheduled for June 24th. We will be leaving from the Cracker Barrel restaurant at the junction of Route 78 and Route 61 just north of Hamburg, PA. We have routes selected that should encompass a wide variety of scenery and driving challenges.

This will be a long day. We will be picnicking for lunch on the way up and selecting a suitable site for dinner. This is close to the Summer Solstice so we should have daylight till almost 9:00 pm. Les and I have yet to run the Route (although we are both fairly familiar with the route from previous business trips) but will do so sometime in May or early June.

The Grand Canyon of PA is a very popular attraction and we want to be able to work in about two hours of hiking and site seeing in the vicinity. SO we will be eating before we arrive at the Canyon.

At this point there may be no rain date. This would depend on how far some people would be traveling and who would want to come up the night before or stay the night on the day of the Cruise. We are out of dates for rescheduling so if we do pick a rain date, it would be the 25th.

Please let me know as soon as you can if you would like to participate. I already have about 6 cars lined up from previous posts. All are welcome and I know that there are a lot of newbies out there who are looking forward to their first Cruise.
