I have been driving a '92 325i for the past six years, and traded it in for a 2000 Z3 2.3 recently.

One thing that scares me is that I feel more vulnerable to certain things when the top is down. For example, I've seen kids throwing rocks from overhead bridges onto oncoming cars, and kids going out and shooting their paintball guns at people for laughs. I just felt much safer in a car with a steel roof.
