: Does anyone on this board have a good sounding stereo?Honestly. Anyone have deep bass? Doesn't the cabinent make the music sound hollow? My Z3 is the onlt car that cannont produce quality sound with great equipment. Any suggestions?

I just had a great system installed in my 97 2.8 z3 this weekend. I don’t have tons of bass but the mid bass and high’s are the best I have heard in a car. I had a set of focal 165 k2 components installed in the factory location with a PPI 2600 amplifier installed in the trunk in a sweet amp. Rack. It used up only a small amount of trunk space, and I still have the possibility of installing a sub in the trunk later, but quality high and mids will do for now. These speakers really crank out the music, due to their high efficiency level, and it is nothing but the cleanest. I auditioned the MB Quart Q series speakers, which is the top of the line MB Quarts and the focal’s sounded much better. However speaker selection is a personal thing. My 2 cents.
