Creaking soft top (how do I stop the creaking?)(m) (archive)

Hi Z3 drivers,

i have a 99 2.8 and I was wondering how I can stop the top from creaking over all the bumps. its gotten tot he point where the creaks are making me nuts:) and i was just wondering what i can do about it. I am sure its the top creaking, maybe the joints that fold the top. can they be oiled? thanks for any advice.
