It is my understanding all of my services are covered until 3years/36 K miles. Should I just ignore these services and do it myself. Am I doing damage to my car to let the oil service be dictated by the service lights?
Thanks again for the info
: I change oil every 5000 miles with synthetic. I don't wait for the lights to cycle out, which usually takes 9k + miles. These lights also keep track of the other services. I do my own oil changes with the aid of a Top Sider pump and a Peak light reset tool.
: : I just purchased a 1998 Z3 from a local dealer (not BMW)and I was wondering when I should change the oil. The car has 13,000 miles. I was told that the car will "tell" me when to change it (the little green bars - of which I have three left). Or does that inform me of an oil service which entails more than just a change. The last thing I want to do is make an improper assumption about oil changes. Thanks in advance.
