Zeattle version 1.2 - any interest? (archive)

Since the last road(ster) trip went so well and the weather gods smiled upon us in the rainy N.W, I thought I'd mock/tempt/molest the higher ups one more time.

When: May 20th at 8:00 a.m.

Meeting spot: Nordstroms @ Northgate

Destination: Chuckanut drive (this is absolutely the mecca of twisties in Western Washington - think shortened version of highway 1 and 101 in California).

Distance: Estimated 230 miles. Call Chuckanut Manor in Bow-Edison if you want to spend the night at the very beginning of Chuckanut drive. It's a very nice, somewhat upscale hotel.

Route: I-5 to Arlington, then Darrington, Old Sauk highway (yes, it's pronounced old sock - thanks for asking) for one of the most amazing views you've ever seen of Mount Baker - you know, that place that got 1140 inches of snow last year), then Bow-Edison before hitting the twisties.

Let's get some M's this time!
