As I remember it, I was going around a corner in 3rd (4k RPM) and threw it in 4th on the exit of the turn (very short lived because I immediately hit the brakes and put it back into 2nd). I guess you could say that I was in a learning process...

OK, time to show my ignorance...What is flogging? I know that my car is supposed to do something like disrupt the gas flow when I start to red line, right? Being new to this car, I am a bit paranoid when my tach gets up there (I normally let off a bit)...Is it safe to run the RPMs so high?
