Apparently it's not that uncommon. Somebody finally buys their dream performance car. When driving it, they feel invincible.
They drive too aggressively. They push the car past it's limits.

I just heard how a guy killed himself in his brand new porsche a few months ago.

Unless you have the skill to drive one of these cars at it's upper limits, you're just tempting fate.
