I have friends who have hundreds of hours of track time and periodically they do get into these "minor" accidents. ^_^

I think it's ego and experience with dynamics of the new car.

: on the way back from Lake Travis in Austin TX i saw a Ferrari bashed to hell. dry warm conditions and nice road surface. wheel knocked off, red bits all over the road, car off the road pointing the opposite direction. owner(?) kicking red bits out of the street.

: he was going west just before Loop 360. its hilly and twisty (fun). it appearred to be a single car accident.

:
: what is it that happens? people get a perfomance car and automatically know how to drive? i have a friend that has already bashed his new Boxster while going too fast for the conditions.
