But most people don't really car about whether one car is a little faster than another. As anyone in advertising would know, they buy because it makes them *feel* better. Being ensconsed in the refinement of a BMW beats the pants off being stuck in some tacky ill-fitted plastic hell-hole rattletrap of a really fast big V-8 Camaro any day. And BMW/Mercedes/Lexus/whatever trounce the cheaper competition in this all-important category.
It's pretty simple.
