you are correct about the sporting advantages of the M brakes, suspension... but the 3.0 should not be considered a new and unproven engine. It's essentially a 2.8 with a crankshaft from the 3.2 M engine, giving it a longer stroke. The intake tubes are also a little shorter and bigger in diameter and it has a fly by wire throttle. Internally, the engine is like the sixes they've used a number of years.
