I recently bought the universal garage door opener for my Z3. As part of the wiring instructions, they wanted me to remove some wires that were already inserted into a connector using some special tool from BMW. I tried to get the wires out of the connector without the tool, but I could not figure out how to find some sort of release. I ended up figuring out what they were trying to do and wiring the thing into my system without using the connector, but I would like to do the job right and use the connector in case I install a cell phone in the future.

Does anyone know how to get the wires out of the connector without having to buy this special tool from BMW? If the tool is the only solution, does anyone have an idea as to what the tool costs?
