Fuel Guage has gone crazy - what's the latest fix? (archive)

It seems like I just answered "no problems" on the MZ3.net survey and bam...what luck.

I am always very careful not to overfill (out at the first click), I take the key out of the ignition, and make sure the cap is on tight and straight at least three times at each fill up since I've had the car.

I filled it up as usual, at my usual station...no problems, now the guage is empty<->it's full<->it's empty...it doesn't ready correctly at all. I drove 210 miles today and it reads a little less then full.

I've searched the archives...I've read it's the sending unit, guage, and the computer. Which is correct? What should I tell my dealer, b/c I know they won't have any ideas. I want to be prepared before I get in there.

Is there a service bullitin on this?

Thanks
