Statistics represent accident fatalities. These don't take into consideration the types of people who buy sports cars. For example, sports cars and motorcycles have more single vehicle accidents which are most likely caused by driver error.

I contend that sports car drivers take higher risks. I read lots of posts on this board regarding top speed, street drag racing, etc. I've even seen digital pictures of dashboards at top speed.

By this I mean that you are probably just as safe in your MZ3 as you are driving a Volvo wagon. I think the highway statistics are skewed by the drivers.

Look at the bright side, at least Mrs X can't make you sell your MZ3.

BTW: I had an airbag switch installed in my MZ3 so I can takes my kids (albeit one at a time) along for a ride.
