Apparently, if you live in the Commonwealth o' Massachussetts, your insurance covers the entire cost of a new windshield (no deductible). Elsewhere in these here United States, you're on your own for the deductible portion of the bill. Ick.

On the bright side, the chip in our Z3s windshield has not spread in almost a year. A very small chip in our 98 Accord's winshield is now a growing line that will soon reach the center of the passenger seat. There $250 I could have used for something else...

: Has anyone ever noticed the soft glass on Z3 models?
: If you look on even Z3s with low mileage you can see small chips in th windshield. I noticed this while using rain-x on the glass.
