I built a box with a 12" powered subwoofer. Sounds really good, but only when I have the trunk open!!!!

Despite it's size, the sound hardly gets to the passenger compartment at normal use.

It has quick connectors and spend a lot of time on the garage floor, unplugged.

When I use it and play loud enough to make it sound "good", I get annoying rattles.
I am thinking of retro fitting the oem subwoofer enclosure instead and install a couple of bass shakers on the floor.
