The people died because they assumed the TT was stable at high speed....and it wasn't. It actually corners very well...especially on slippery surfaces. It simply got very light in the tail at high speeds. All Euro versions were recalled a number of months ago and the ROW versions were recalled about 2 weeks later. The cars were retrofit with a small wing and had some suspension mods made to correct the problem. The new cars are "fixed" before leaving the factory.
