: : : : I remember reading some posts on fuel guage/sensor problems. After the third fill up, I noticed the fuel guage dropped to empty and then shot back to full. This happenend a few times. Is this a faulty sensor? Is it common? Does a replacement sensor fix the problem or does it usually reoccur? Finally, is it only a problem on a full tank?
: : : : A question on paint. I have a 2000 estoril blue M. Does anyone know if the paint is improved on the 2000 models? I have no chips yet after 500 miles but I haven't had it on the highway much yet. Thanks.

: : Because of environmental etc. concerns, a lot of paint is now water based. It is natuarlly softer. I keep the finished well waxed with zymol z3 wax, at least monthly (doesn't take long and cool to apply with the heat from your hands (no applicator). I also stay back from traffic as much as I can, especially trucks - most of my driving during the week is highway. I would never use a front end protector "bra" or the clear protectors (they yellow and you can see them.)
