Anyone else hear this week that they would NOT be building the M Roadster with the new double vanos M engine?

I picked up the last M roadster in GA this weekend, and the dealer (yes, they are called salespeople for a reason) said the news on Friday was that there wouldn't be a 2001 MZ3. None of the 6 dealers in GA, BTW, had any more allocated, if they are in production until September.

What is your source for info, Tom? Anyone know how many Ms were produced per model year?
