Sounds as if a lifter is sticking. This usually results from letting the oil level drop too low.

: The car developed a ticking sounds under the hood.
: You turn it on, you hear it, you give gas, you hear it ticking, give more gas, ticking faster. It still drives normal and shifts normal and all that, but that noise definitely doesn't sound normal.
: Any idea? I am calling the dealer tomorrow, would like to have some idea before I do so.
