Help! Ticking sound from roof mechanism ... (more) (archive)

When lowering power roof or driving on rough surface with roof up, I noticed a ticking sound coming from the driver's side roof mechanism. Further examination revealed: by tucking the black nylon braided (sp) cord (believed to be housing the switch wire), the exact same noise can be reproduced. Is there any way to lubricate (tried silicon and did not work) or pad this cord to prevent it from making noise when it rub against the joints and frame? Thanks in advance for your responses.
