I am in El Dorado County which is 30 miles east of Sacramento on US route 50. I live about 10 miles from the spot where gold was discovered in California. About 12 miles west of me are three of the least known great wineries in California. Boeger, Madrona and Lava Cap. Their Zinfandels are fantastic and some of their Cabernets are real gems. Not many people outside of Northern California are aware that El Dorado and Amador counties are thriving wine growing and producing areas.
I will check with my local wine experts, David Berkely and Darryl Corti and see if they can acquire some of your Israeli wine.
When you have some serious travel plans in mind let me know and I'm sure between all the contacts you have out here we can arange to get you on one of the great tracks. Laguna Seca and Sears Point are hard to get on but Buttonwillow, Willow Springs and Thunderhill are a little easier. The first two are closer to Los Angeles while Thill is 90 miles north of Sacramento.
