: john, the dakar coupe looked great !!! What interior pieces shown are self applied?
: i guess the armrest and the steering tabs?

: : The Dakar Yellow is a stock Spinneybeck color. It's name is Dichroic Yellow. I didn't have to match a factory leather color, but I'm not sure even BMW could come up with a better match than what I used. Obviously leather does not have a clear coat, so it appears different, but I have no complaints on the color of the leather in Rick's car.

: : It's sort of a role of the dice.

: : I can match Kyalami Orange and Evergreen leather too (not much demand there though!!). Estoril Blue and Imola Red are very unique colors (to BMW's credit) and none of the 650 stock Spinneybeck colors match them.

: : Lear builds Z3 seats, but Lear uses a Mexican company for leather in all US-built cars. I do not know which company, only that the suede sides of the leather on all stock seats I have seen are all stamped "made in Mexico". I have the BMW part number for raw hides of Imola Red leather, but both BMW AG and BMW NA have no stock. Same is true for all other colors of leather. They are listed in the EPC, I have the part numbers. But I cannot order it. It's my theory BMW Individual has specs on leather hides (Pantone color codes for example) and they order leather only as they need it for Individual Cars (capital "I" is key).
