sounds like you should get atleast another 47000 miles before the next tranny, really, the BMW are known for good build quality but you may want to invest in an extended warranty through you BMW shop for added security, they are reasonable and if you have a problem i promise they will almost pay for them selfs, parts are very costly not to mention labor.

: I am purchasing a 1996 Z3 with 47000 miles for just under $18000. I have a concern, the seller told me that BMW warrenty replaced his transmission about 5,000 miles ago. How much should this concern me?
