The only downside is that they will schedule you at the factory very *conservatively*, that is probably a week or two after your car is supposed to be finished just in case there are delays. I couldn't stand the extra wait and opted to take delivery locally so I could get it ASAP!

: I understand you can pick your ordered car up in SC, but is there any special reason to do so other than getting it quicker. I live in NC so I could easily get there, but I'm not sure why I would. Looked on the BMW website but couldn't find any info on factory pick-up.
