I bought a '97 Z3 two months ago with 13,000 miles and one owner - paid $24,000. Looks like you got a great deal. There have been some good posts here about known warranty issues. Check the archives for these lists. If the car only had one owner, chances are good they went to one place for service. You may be able to get a service history for the car - including whether service was performed regularly. An extended warranty may be a good idea, but they're usually a sucker bet. These cars are built to last - enjoy yours!

: I am purchasing a 1996 Z3 with 47000 miles for just under $18000. I have a concern, the seller told me that BMW warrenty replaced his transmission about 5,000 miles ago. How much should this concern me?
