After yesterday's visit to Weatherford and Concord, I went to Peter Pan and SF BMW. So far, Weatherford has been the only one willing to take a deposit on the 2001 M Roadster. A sales executive at SF told me this was illegal, taking a deposit for a car that isn't in production yet. I'm concerned. I want a 2001 M Roadster if they will in fact exist, but I'm not willing to put down $1k for a "ghost car". Weatherford and Concord both tried to push me towards the Z3s they already had on the lot, while the other two didn't (thankfully), but said that the 2001 M Roadster may not even be coming. Are there any dealers that read this board that have more information than the ones I've been to so far? Does anyone else have any insight from sources that know what's going on? Thanks guys!
