Last week I saw an article about a conversion to a GM self adjusting mirror with maplights. Apparantly some one is making a conversion bracket to adapt for this application, I didn't get the supplier's name and I can't find the article again.
While I'm at it, I'd like to hear from fellow owners regarding any performance additions they've made, ie: front strut tower brace, header/exhaust upgrades, computer re-programming, etc. Though not too annoying I do detect some cowl shake under certain conering situations as well as some road irregularities. Any one out there come up with a fix and will the strut tower brace (Dinan, for example) help in solving this?
By the way, it is worth noting that in the 1400 miles I've had the M I've had no problems, while the car I traded was in the shop for three days with 350 miles on the odometer, four weeks with 410 miles on it (fuel pump relay) and then around it's first birthday it had a party at the dealer waiting for a new fuel pump. Two days after getting it back the air bag warning light came on. By the way, the car was a new 1999 996 Porsche Carrera. I would never have thought I would ever say this, but my BMW makes the Porsche appear like a bad dream from another time!!
