Search on the archives using keywords fuel gauge and fuse #31 for one of my posts with the procedure to reset the gauge.

Had the tank sensor replaced 3 months ago under waranty. Now same thing is happening. Fuel gage bounces from full to empty. I don't overfill !!
Car is 96' Z3 -- only 3,500 miles. But now out of warranty by 1 mo. Should dealer replace again at no charge ?? What is the deal on this fuel gage problem ?? It drives my wife nuts !!
