what octane his M chip is "optimized" for. In the case of the Dinan chips, they are optimized for 91 octane, and burning anything higher up will not increase power, mileage, reliability, etc. 91 was chosen by Dinan because that grade of fuel is readily available all over the country at almost all stations.
