Dear Brad and AUDI TT Driver’s,

I can understand that you just were kidding. So was I. – Touché.
But the tings that I have spoken about AUDI TT have happened and they are undisputed. The AUDI’s have had and they still have a very high reputation for their quality and for their exceptional good 4 wheel drive system. I have several friends who owns RS2 and S4 and they are all very satisfied with their cars. I’m also of the impression, that the new RS4 is the absolute killer driving machine.
But where’s light there’s also shadow... Here in Europe, we heard so many complaints about the infamous brakes that AUDI nowadays have on their car’s. And this is not just kidding. Just open up an European car magazine. You will find complaints from the test crews as well as reports from upset owners from this car’s. I can not understand why this happens to such a renowned car manufacturer. (Within the Volkswagen group they have with their the Porsche brand the best brakes available on the marked) They should give the advantage of this technology not only to their high priced RS series cars but also to the average car. I’m of the impression that the lives of the people that can or will not afford a RS are worth the same...
And then comes the TT... One can argue over the shape of the body, but that’s not what I was talking about. At the speed level’s often found on German highway’s, the shape of the TT body created that much lift at the tail that the driving stability was negatively affected. These results came from independent research. They are undisputed. Even AUDY accepted fact their presence and added the spoiler to the TT. You will not hear anything about the looks from my side... But what made things worse was the general handling of the car. AUDI claimed that they strive to build a driver oriented sports car. But it seemed that they took it over the top. After the story with the injured and killed drivers came to the car press, a race driver made a few test drives with that car, proving that the driving stability was not all that good... Hey, the whole test was even reported on TV, and believe me the driver was not an old bastard but was Christian Danner a former Formula One and Alfa Romeo Tourenwagen driver, who is still engaged in serious racing and 9is a driving safety instructor. After that particular show down at the TV, all the other TV stations picked up the topic and AUDI had to react.
I personally do not have anything against AUDI nor against other cars. I have been engaged in heavy discussions with other fellows on the board while praising the handling qualities of the Porsche boxter S. I’m just of the impression that a premium car maker should have done his homework better. And I just somehow believe to know my personal limits in the saddle of my car. This means that I was lucky several times, that BMW has incorporated some safety margin in the roadster design, when I took the car to the or should I better say to my limits...

Lot’s of sunny day’s from Switzerland and enjoy driving your cars

Roger
