I’ve removed my original 16” wheels from my 2000 Z3. I always thought the rear wheel arches needed wider rubber. I also wanted to stick with BMW equipment so I opted for some 17 inch “Round Spokes”. These I acquired used and dispatched them to Wheel Collision Center for refinishing in BMW “Steel Gray”, paint code 400. At the same time I had a set of new Kumho’s shipped to Wheel Collision Center. This completed set was then shipped in perfect order to my home for fitting. Wow! The wheels looked great and filled the wheel arches well. The car now corners better but the ride is a little harsher. A fine compromise, I think, for a unique wheel & tire package.

Just a pity the photos don’t do any justice – look out for me at the Homecoming.

My God. I love the Dakar yellow, but that is the most atrocious color combination that I have ever seen. What in the world possessed you to think that Steel gray wheels would in any way compliment a yellow car? Although you are sure to be extremely unique with this combo. I doubt that many would consider this to be a good idea. But, to each his own.
