In Reply to: JonM, please help on fading color on leather... posted by Richard L. on August 27, 2000 at 17:18:12:

I have a 98 Dakar Yellow EE with yellow piping along the edge of seats. On the driver seat however, due to the rubbing of seatbelt, the left shoulder section of the yellow piping is starting to wear off. Do you have a recommendation or remedy on how to restore the color? It might sound silly though but I don't think the touch-up paint will work (I thought I'd better ask...)? Is there a special paint or coloring for the leather?

Thank you for your help.

Richard :-)

Do NOT paint any leather! JonM's already started part of the LeatherZ Homecoming travelling so he might be away from the board for a while. I wanted to make sure that you didn't go ahead and try painting it and ruin something.
That's all I can really comment on. :)

Steve
