Passport SR1: Opinions? (archive)

I'm looking at potentially buying Escort's Passport SR1 as a radar/laser detector. Has anyone had any experience with it? Radartest.com rated it much higher than K40's stuff. Please don't post anything about the V1 .. I already own one and love it to death. However, I need a non-winshield-mounted detector for my current geographic location. Thanks!
