Has anyone experienced their 2.3 engine bog when suddenly flooring the engine. Every now and then my engine seems to completely bog momentarily before accelerating. Any advice, similar experience?

Also, I have noticed that at highway speeds car accelerates extremely poorly. A matter of fact I think my fiancee's 318ti performs identically on the highway. In retrospect I think my old Z3 1.9 performed very similarly despite having considerably less power. Again, has anyone had similar experiences or advice?

I notice no problems with my 2000 2.3 with 3k miles. I'm surprised at the pick up I have from 55mph (for being only a 2.3 with 170hp).
Maybe yours isn't down shifting when it needs to, or something. If it's still under warranty, just take it in for a check up.
