also spring fell out....apparantly a design goof, but it has to move with the top, thus the spring and the elastic follower. It kind of reminds me of the old Jag problems....weird! Greetings Fellow Zeemers... I searched the archieve and found a couple of references to a problem I am having relative to my top liner. Both of the attachment points towards the front of the top on either side has broken. I have repaired both myself by using a a crimping tool and wire crimp to re-attach the string to the spring. Now the passenger side has broken again, in a different location and I doubt I can repair as I did before. My question is, has anyone reported this problem to a dealer and what was the outcome. I am going to check with Heishman this week to get a feel for what they can do.
