Has anyone experienced their 2.3 engine bog when suddenly flooring the engine. Every now and then my engine seems to completely bog momentarily before accelerating. Any advice, similar experience?

Also, I have noticed that at highway speeds car accelerates extremely poorly. A matter of fact I think my fiancee's 318ti performs identically on the highway. In retrospect I think my old Z3 1.9 performed very similarly despite having considerably less power. Again, has anyone had similar experiences or advice?

The only time my engine bogs is in 4'th or 5'th gear and low RPM's but this is to be expected.Down shifting takes care of this. At highway speeds I'm still amazed of the acceleration/torque I have. It seems that the engine would just keep on pulling until redline if
I wanted.Maybe you are not running the right octane or you have some bad fuel.
