Has anyone experienced their 2.3 engine bog when suddenly flooring the engine. Every now and then my engine seems to completely bog momentarily before accelerating. Any advice, similar experience?

Also, I have noticed that at highway speeds car accelerates extremely poorly. A matter of fact I think my fiancee's 318ti performs identically on the highway. In retrospect I think my old Z3 1.9 performed very similarly despite having considerably less power. Again, has anyone had similar experiences or advice?

I have 4,000 miles on my 2.3 Topaz Blue. So far runs and accelerates smooth and hard (for a 2.3 that is)right up to the limit. Now that I've said that, it will probably blow up now ! Steve h.
