Hi Bruno, I'm from the UK and I have a 1.9. The valve problem is not going to bother you at all. Yes it's a common problem but it's not going to harm any other part of the engine. If you get a 1.9 with a warranty still valid then you can get it fixed via that. The only thing the problem gives is a slight lumpy tick over. I had a V6 before my Z and that was very smooth, this dosn't bother me at all. I'm very happy with mine.

Hi, i´m thinking in buy an used Z3 1.9 but a friend of mine told me that the 1.9 engine has a problem and will burn the exhaust valves! Is this true? If it is .....is it a general problem?
