As someone said below,you may want to go the "business route." If you don't, however, rather than simply absorb all of the inevitable costs of allowing people to use your equipment, you may want to ask that people make a "voluntary contribution," either of cash or in-kind (replacing things they use, etc.). Otherwise, this generous gesture on your part may turn into more than you anticipated.

Had I not moved from Burlington, MA, to L.A., I'd be one of your "customers!"
